First off Term IS the cheapest. If you find something cheaper it is not real life insurance and wil lnot cover you for what you think you are covered for. Examples of this are ADB (accidental death benefit insurance) and creditor insurance.

Your best bet is to use a comparison website, but its best to use an exclusive life insurance one, dont use gocompare or any of those as they will charge extra commission and you wont get the best deal.
If your in the UK then the best one out there at the moment is lifeinsurancecompare, their address is in my sources, I managed to save a fair bit on my policy by getting a much cheaper deal there.
