How Well Does Life Insurance Sell These Days Compared To Normal Times?

I am wondering if there is any impact of recession. Thanks.

Interestingly enough we have found that when times are bad life insurance sells very well.

I haven’t seen any impact on my business. In fact, life insurance sales at the company I work at continues to grow. But as the life insurance industry as a whole, the industry itself is slowly dying. There’s less than 1000 life insurance companies out there in America, compare to over 3000 companies in the 1980s. The average age of a life insurance agent is in the 50’s. Not many people don’t buy life insurance until someone talks to them about it (less than 60% of Americans own an individual life insurance policy).
