Posted July 4, 2009 – 10:28 am in: structured settlements FAQ

Im looking to find life insurance for my downes syndrome, diabetic brother, I have so far been unable to get. It all seems rather harse that if (god forbid) anything happens to him, I will be the one that has to pay for his funeral as im his next of kin. So does anyone know of any companys that cater for this kind of thing?
I live in Scotland uk.

Well, you CAN get it, if you pay the face value up front. If you want a $5,000 policy, you pay $5,000.
No one is going to give him “odds”. So the issue isn’t that you can’t find it, it’s that you can’t find it at the price you want.
So, it’s going to be more cost effective for you to just save up.
