They will not release the specific results as to why you may fail the blood test. However, they will advise the agent that you did fail the test.
Since you may be paying part of the benefits for the life insurance through your employer, why not decline the coverage?
You could tell your employer you have your own life insurance policy, and that you don’t want to pay for more coverage at this time.
If your employer is paying all of the premiums for the life insurance, you still have the right to decline the coverage.
I hope that helps. Bets of luck to you.
It is supposed to be confidential, only you and the insurance agent will know the results. However, that doesn’t mean the agent will honor that and not tell your boss, since it’s his son. Also, if the insurance company declines to provide the insurance to you, then your boss will wonder why and may start asking questions.
Pretty darned confidential. They won’t tell your boss WHY you flunked the blood test, only that you flunked it.
They won’t tell the agent why, either. Only that you flunked.
But, your boss is going to ask you why. Odds are, they already suspect you smoke pot. It’s harder to hide than you think.
