How Can I Find Out What Life Insurance Company I Have?

Posted February 20, 2010 – 5:27 pm in: structured settlements FAQ

Someone I know is paying life insurance on me but I never signed any papers or even got a medical exam. I believe that this person is forging my signature and I need to find out ASAP.

Most insurance companies participate in an organization called MIB. They send all of their application activity to MIB. According to their site you can order your MIB record for free once per year to see if there is any suspicious activity or to verify that the information on there is correct. http://www.mib.com/html/request_your_rec…
If you do determine what company the insurance is with you can call them up and tell them that there is a fraudulent policy on you.
