How Can I Find Out If Life Insurance Policies Have Been Purchased.?
Posted December 12, 2009 – 4:38 pm in: structured settlements FAQHow can I find out if any life insurance policies have ever been purchased on people in the past and present. I’ve emailed life insurance companies asking them this same question and never receive responses to my inquiries. I’d really appreciate any feed back on my questions so that I can put closure on some thoughts and/or possibilities.
Thank You,
Lanny

It’s private information, Lanny, subject to the privacy laws. Any adult that has insurance on their life would have to sign an application, even if they aren’t the policy owner – so your ONLY way to know, before death, is to ASK the person.
Your only way to know AFTER death, is to have access to their valuable papers, and go through them looking for a policy. Or to be executor of their estate, and get their banking records, looking for a payment to an insurance company.
70% of people in the US die without life insurance in place.
Life insurance with cash value don’t pay out cash value when you die! They say its a good way to build savings! How is that so if you lose it all and it doesn’t go to anyone when you die? People say you can borrow it. Why do I want to borrow my own money that I paid for? Cash value = scams!
