Has Anyone Purchased Life Insurance Through Bank Of America? What Was Your Experience?

My mom received a letter from Bank of America to acquire additional life insurance (on top of her free $1000 coverage) which is underwritten through Monumental Life Insurance Company. Has anyone purchased this? Is it a good idea to have this?

    Usually those mailers offering life insurance are not very good. They are generally overpriced for little coverage. If she needs additional insurance, she should find a good independent agent with a few years in the business.

    I have to wait till I die to make sure it works good… I’m not sure I’m willing to do that to find out.
