It is possible, but there are a number of criteria that must be met first. You also may run into medical requirement issues if doctor records are in a foriegn language, insurance companies will not cover the cost of translation usually. Also, the sibling in question may have to be in the US in order to sign the application, take a medical and receive the policy. But there are carriers who will consider non US residents, depending on their country of origin. However, some countries are considered red flag, and travel to some countries can prevent an individual from being insurable. The best bet would be to contact an insurance agent, they can help you find out if your siblings would be able to get Life insurance.

You must have your green card and have been a permanent resident for at least a year in order for most life insurance companies to provide you with coverage. Most companies cannot provide life insurance quotes or coverage for temporary residents, including anyone with a work permit or visa, permanent residents without their green card, or green card applicants who have not yet received their green card.
