Are There Life Insurance Suicide Policies That Pay Before 2 Years?
Posted July 13, 2009 – 4:24 am in: structured settlements FAQI read a little about suicide policies refusing to pay if you kill yourself within 2 years of subscribing.
Are there any life insurance companies that pay if you commit suicide and don’t contain this clause?

Your talking about a law called the 2 years contention period. Its the law every company has it. It prevents people from getting rich. It protects both you and the company really.
If you are thinking about killing yourself you are very selfish. You do not realize the impact on your family and friends. I have know of people who thought about it, and have advise them to go and visit the hospital burn ward. These people are in physical pain day and night, and if anyone of them thought about killing them self I could understand.
They don’t think about dying, they think about fighting to overcome their current position in life. Hardship makes all people stronger.
Did you see the movie where this man was homeless, and had a little boy to raise with no money. He made of this mind that he was going to overcome this temporary position. He ended up being a multimillionaire. He was on the Oprah Show several months ago.
Seek help from someone that you trust or professional help from a Family Clinic in your area.
I had two friends that commited suicide.
In both cases it was a stupid move. They both had lots of options, they just couldn’t see them…but that didn’t mean the options weren’t there. It didn’t make anyone feel sorry, it didn’t change anything…except that they weren’t there to enjoy anything anymore.
Knowing that is a big reason why I haven’t commited suicide…and the idea has been tempting on occasion.

If money were no object, and you were willing to pay, say, $110,000 for a $100,000 policy, you could find a company willing to write that. If you want odds, though, you’re not going to find it.
